Christian Christensen co-founded Nordic Brazilian Capital in 2018 and is today Managing Partner at the firm while also serving as legal representative and advisor of several Danish subsidiaries in Brazil as well as sits on different non-profit boards.
Christian previously worked at Nordea, the largest Nordic bank. His career in Nordea started in 2008 in their headquarter in Copenhagen responsible for Shipping & Offshore financing. Later in 2010, he relocated to their office in New York City as Vice President responsible for Shipping & Offshore in the Americas. In 2012, he relocated to São Paulo in Brazil as Managing Director of Nordea’s Brazilian and LATAM operations overseeing 1+ bUSD across the region.
Christian has more than 15 years of working experience with finance in banking from Scandinavia, New York and Brazil. He lives in São Paulo with his wife and his two sons.
Christian holds a Bachelor in Economics & Business Administration and a Master in Management of Innovation & Business Development from Copenhagen Business School as well as MBA courses in Banking & Finance from New York University and Fundação Getulio Vargas in São Paulo.
Lauritz Hansen co-founded Nordic Brazilian Capital in 2018 and is today Managing Partner at the firm while also serving as Senior Investment Manager for IFU – Official Financial Development Institution of Denmark – for Brazil and LATAM as well as serves on the board of several companies and non-profit organizations in Brazil.
Laurtiz previously worked at EKF, the official Danish Export Credit Agency. His career….
Laurtiz has more than 16 years of working experience with business development, trade finance and private equity investments in Brazil. He lives in São Paulo with his wife and his son.
Lauritz holds a Bachelor in Business Administration & Communication from Roskilde University in Denmark as well as MBA courses from Yale and Redcliffe Training in London
Simon Jakobsen joined Nordic Brazilian Capital in 2024 and is today Partner at the firm.
Simon previously worked at Coloplast, the world leading medical device company. His career in Coloplast started in 2014 in their headquarter in Copenhagen responsible for developing Sales and Marketing capabilities in their subsidiaries around the world. Later in 2017, he relocated to Buenos Aires in Argentina, heading up business development in Latin America. In 2020, he relocated to São Paulo as Director of their DtC business unit in Brazil. In 2022, he became Director of Business Development, responsible for strategy, investments and P&L management in Latin America.
Simon has more than 10 years of experience working with management consulting, leadership and investments across 40+ countries worldwide. He lives in São Paulo with his wife and his daugther.
Simon holds a Bachelor in Economics & Business Administration from Aarhus School of Business and a Master in International Business from Copenhagen Business School as well as MBA courses in Finance & Investment Management from Hong Kong University.
